Facility Engineer

Job SummaryThe Facility Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, safety, and reliability of building facilities and MEP systems across residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties. The role involves coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, supervising maintenance contractors and service providers, monitoring AMC performance, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable Dubai regulations and authority requirements.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire and life safety systems, pumps, and other MEP equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify defects, maintenance requirements, safety concerns, and potential equipment failures.
• Monitor Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and ensure contractors fulfil their contractual obligations and service-level requirements.
• Review MEP equipment condition, maintenance records, and recurring faults to identify root causes and reduce operational costs.
• Prepare site inspection reports, maintenance updates, defect lists, and recommendations for management.
• Ensure contractors follow site safety requirements and permit-to-work procedures where applicable.
• Coordinate with property management teams, building occupants, tenants, security personnel, and other stakeholders to address maintenance concerns.Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or Property Management in the UAE.
• Good knowledge of building MEP systems, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and AMC management.
• Familiarity with Dubai regulatory requirements and coordination with relevant authorities, including Dubai Civil Defence and other applicable authorities.
• Experience in contractor supervision, technical reporting, quotation evaluation, and maintenance cost control.
