Factory Manager

Next Step HR is hiring a Factory Supervisor for a manufacturing setup. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day factory operations, managing production activities and maintaining quality standards.Location: Ahmedabad India (On-site, Full-time)Experience: 2–5 years in factory/production supervisionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and coordinate daily production activitiesAllocate work to operators and production staff according to prioritiesMonitor production targets, work progress and deadlinesEnsure proper utilisation of manpower, machines and materialsCheck the quality of finished and semi-finished productsIdentify production issues and take corrective actionCoordinate with Design, Production, Purchase and Dispatch teamsMonitor machine performance and report breakdowns or maintenance requirementsEnsure minimum material wastage and control reworkMaintain daily production reports and attendance recordsEnsure workers follow company rules, safety procedures and PPE requirementsMaintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping across the factoryTrain and guide operators and new production employeesHandle production-related problems and escalate major issues to managementEnsure materials are available as per production requirementsMonitor work quality and productivity of team membersEnsure urgent and priority jobs are completed on timeSupport management in improving production efficiency and reducing costsREQUIREMENTS:ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical, Production or a related field preferred3–5 years of experience in factory or production supervisionGood knowledge of manufacturing and production processesStrong manpower handling and team management skillsAbility to understand production drawings and measurementsGood problem-solving and decision-making skillsBasic computer knowledge, especially MS Excel and production reportingGood communication and coordination skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet production deadlinesStrong focus on quality, productivity and operational efficiencyBENEFITS:Opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day factory operationsWork closely with production, design, purchase and dispatch teamsExposure to end-to-end manufacturing and production processesOpportunity to contribute towards improving efficiency and reducing costsGrowth opportunity within a developing manufacturing setup
