The faculty member will design and deliver cyber security courses, prepare lesson plans, and facilitate classroom and lab-based learning aligned with industry standards and academic requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting lectures, supervising practical sessions, evaluating student performance, and providing academic mentoring and guidance. The role also involves updating curriculum content, integrating emerging trends and technologies in cyber security, participating in academic planning, and contributing to departmental initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and outreach activities. Collaboration with colleagues, involvement in continuous improvement of teaching methods, and maintaining professional and ethical standards in all academic activities are expected.Qualifications Strong foundation in core cyber security concepts such as network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, security operations, and incident response.Practical experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability assessment tools, and SIEM platforms.Knowledge of operating systems, computer networks, and basic programming or scripting relevant to security (e.g., Linux, Windows, Python, Bash).Understanding of information security governance, risk management, compliance standards, and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, data protection practices).Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in a clear and engaging manner.Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a learner-centric and inclusive approach.Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a closely related field; relevant professional certifications (such as CEH, CISSP, Security+, or equivalent) are an advantage.Commitment to continuous learning, staying current with emerging threats, tools, and industry best practices, and contributing positively to the academic community.
