RoleWe are seeking an experienced Faculty Development Manager to lead faculty professional development, teaching enhancement, instructional innovation, academic capability building, and continuous improvement initiatives.The ideal candidate will design and manage development programs that strengthen faculty skills in teaching, curriculum design, assessment, educational technology, student engagement, academic leadership, and evidence-based educational practice.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive faculty development strategy aligned with institutional academic priorities.Conduct faculty needs assessments to identify professional-development requirements across disciplines and career stages.Design annual faculty development plans covering teaching, assessment, curriculum, technology, research, leadership, and academic practice.Develop workshops, seminars, training programs, learning communities, webinars, coaching sessions, and faculty development resources.Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new faculty members.Develop professional-development pathways for early-career, experienced, senior, and academic leadership faculty.Provide guidance on effective teaching methodologies, active learning, student engagement, and inclusive teaching practices.Support faculty in developing effective course structures, learning activities, assessments, and teaching resources.Collaborate with Curriculum and Assessment teams to strengthen alignment between learning outcomes, teaching practices, and assessment methods.Promote evidence-based teaching practices and encourage the use of educational research in instructional decision-making.Support faculty adoption of blended, online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced teaching approaches.Provide training on learning-management systems, digital learning tools, virtual classrooms, educational technology, and emerging instructional platforms.Identify appropriate uses of AI and other emerging technologies to enhance teaching and learning.Establish faculty communities of practice focused on teaching innovation, assessment, curriculum, student success, and academic leadership.Coordinate peer-learning, peer-observation, mentoring, coaching, and teaching-review initiatives.Develop resources, guides, toolkits, templates, and reference materials to support faculty effectiveness.Support faculty in designing accessible and inclusive learning experiences for diverse student populations.Promote universal design principles and appropriate accessibility practices within teaching and course development.Coordinate faculty development related to academic integrity, assessment quality, student wellbeing, and learning support.Develop leadership-development programs for faculty members taking on program, department, committee, or institutional leadership responsibilities.Support faculty research and scholarship of teaching and learning where aligned with institutional priorities.Establish partnerships with external universities, professional organizations, educational institutions, and subject-matter experts.Invite external speakers, trainers, consultants, and specialists to support faculty development activities.Manage faculty development events, schedules, registrations, communications, materials, and logistics.Develop annual faculty development calendars and ensure programs are delivered efficiently.Manage faculty development budgets, resources, vendors, consultants, and service providers.Monitor participation, completion, engagement, and satisfaction across faculty development programs.Evaluate the effectiveness of development activities using surveys, participation data, teaching feedback, learning outcomes, and other evidence.Develop dashboards and reports showing faculty development activity, participation, outcomes, and improvement priorities.Identify barriers to faculty participation and develop strategies to improve engagement and accessibility.Work with academic leaders to integrate faculty development priorities into departmental and institutional plans.Maintain accurate records of faculty participation, development activities, certifications, and professional learning.Establish quality standards for faculty development content, facilitators, delivery methods, and learning resources.Benchmark faculty development practices against recognized higher-education institutions and professional standards.Identify emerging trends in pedagogy, academic technology, assessment, student engagement, and faculty professional learning.Support accreditation and quality-assurance activities by providing evidence of faculty development, teaching quality, and professional learning.Conduct regular reviews of faculty development programs and implement improvements based on evidence and stakeholder feedback.Develop recognition and incentive initiatives that encourage faculty participation and teaching innovation.Ensure faculty development activities support institutional policies, academic standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.Prepare regular reports successful candidate should have strong experience in faculty development, academic professional learning, instructional design, higher-education teaching, educational leadership, or academic quality assurance, preferably within universities, colleges, schools, or professional education environments.The candidate should demonstrate:Strong understanding of faculty professional development and higher-education teaching practices.Experience designing and managing faculty development programs.Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning, pedagogy, assessment, and curriculum
