Faculty - Fintech & Finance

Our ClientOur client is a new business school in Dubai, currently building its academic programmes, faculty capability, research agenda, and industry connections.As part of this founding phase, the institution is developing its FinTech and Digital Finance faculty, with a focus on the intersection of finance, technology, data, digital platforms, and financial regulation.Role OverviewThe Faculty, FinTech & Finance will contribute to the teaching and development of undergraduate programmes while supporting curriculum design, research, academic quality, and industry engagement. The role will cover areas such as FinTech, Digital Finance, AI in Financial Services, Digital Banking, Financial Analytics, Blockchain, Digital Assets, Payments, and RegTech, with an emphasis on connecting academic learning to developments across the financial services and technology sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate courses across FinTech, Finance, Digital Finance, and related disciplines using lectures, case studies, simulations, financial datasets, and applied projects.Develop curriculum, course content, assessments, and learning activities across areas including AI in finance, digital banking, blockchain, financial analytics, payments, and regulatory technology.Conduct and publish academic and applied research appropriate to the academic rank and contribute to the institution's developing research agenda.Supervise student research, capstone projects, industry assignments, and other applied learning activities.Contribute to programme development, academic quality, accreditation requirements, and the continued development of the FinTech curriculum.Build relationships with financial institutions, FinTech companies, digital banks, payment businesses, regulators, and the wider UAE and GCC financial ecosystem.Support student-industry engagement through internships, industry projects, guest lectures, research collaborations, and other academic initiatives.Must-havePhD or equivalent terminal degree in Finance, FinTech, Financial Technology, Financial Economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline.Minimum two years of teaching experience within an accredited higher education institution.Research and publication record appropriate to the academic rank being considered, with senior appointments requiring corresponding academic leadership and research depth.Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, student supervision, and applied academic learning.Academic, research, or industry exposure to areas such as FinTech, Digital Finance, AI in Financial Services, Digital Banking, Financial Analytics, Blockchain, Digital Assets, Payments, or RegTech.Strong English communication skills; Arabic and previous UAE or GCC academic or financial-market exposure are preferred.Must hold a UAE MOHESR Equivalency Certificate (Certificate of Recognition), or be eligible to obtain one within six months of employment.
