Job PurposeDeliver high-quality, transdisciplinary teaching, research, and mentoring across academic programs at WPU Goa, while actively shaping an innovative, future-ready university culture that blends academia and industry to address the grand challenges of our time.3. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Curriculum: deliver semester-length courses and curate new, transdisciplinary courses using innovative pedagogies that blend academic and industry perspectives.Student Mentoring: mentor students in learning, research, tutorials, and individual sessions to support their academic and professional growth.Research & Thought Leadership: articulate and pursue an academic research agenda geared toward real-world challenges, publishing high-quality work in peer-reviewed, indexed journals.Institution Building: play an active role in shaping the university's transdisciplinary academic culture, new pedagogical techniques, and collaborative engagement models.Industry & Academic Integration: blend and transcend disciplinary boundaries, bringing industry relevance into teaching, ideation, and applied research.Academic Administration: fulfil all mandated academic duties and processes in an organized and timely manner with integrity and commitment.Community Engagement: actively engage with Goa's cultural, social, and economic ecosystem to enrich teaching, research, and student experience.4. Person Specification & Key CompetenciesStrong inclination toward transdisciplinary teaching, research, and pedagogy innovation over conventional, siloed approaches.Proven ability to mentor students effectively, backed by strong student evaluations or feedback.Entrepreneurial and applied orientation, with demonstrated ability to translate research into real-world solutions or prototypes.High academic integrity, ownership, and commitment to timely delivery of academic responsibilities.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines, academia, and industry.Comfort operating in a dynamic, evolving institutional environment true to Goa's unique cultural and economic ecosystem.Minimum Qualification & ExperienceExcellent academic record with a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in any discipline, with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade where a grading system is followed).Qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, or a similar UGC-accredited test.Prior full-time academic and industry experience strongly preferred; exceptional candidates who have recently been awarded a Ph.D. or are close to submission/award from a reputed university are also welcome.Exposure to teaching, research, or academic project work at prestigious national or international universities is desirable but not mandatory.Track record of high-quality, peer-reviewed publications and/or an impactful portfolio of entrepreneurial projects and product prototypes preferred.5.
