The position will provide exposure to the inner workings of a firm with diversified practice lines, including institutional advisory, private wealth management, and a robust tax practice. Hands-on learning starts on day one in this fast-paced environment. This position will be trained on different aspects of institutional advisory and investment consulting. The intern will also be trained on specific software used throughout the firm. Responsibilities include assisting with client service, meeting preparation, data maintenance, investment monitoring, and administrative tasks.CAPTRUST interns must maintain professional and ethical standards, be well organized, service oriented, and capable of performing under tight deadlines. Obtaining course credit may also be possible, depending on the student’s program approval. Hours will be flexible based on school schedule. Completion of an internship may lead to, but does not guarantee, future full-time employment. Apply today. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:The internal title for this role is intended to be Intern | Institutional Client Service.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with financial advisors, client service, and peers on the Client Management TeamAssist performance reporting team in the preparation and review of quarterly performance reportsAssist in the preparation and review of fee and expense benchmarking analysis and reportsContribute to new research, project initiatives, and ad hoc projects within required deadlinesAttending client investment committee meetings to observe (upon invitation from advisor)Attending Participant Advice sessions with our plan advisors to observe participant meetingsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or SeniorAll School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial planning, or Taxation preferred) Significant interest in the workings of investment advisory firmnDesired Qualifications/Skills:Strong critical thinker who is a strong self-starterHigh-level proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OutlookExcellent communication and writing skillsOrganized, detail-oriented and able to multitask with proven ability to plan and achieve resultsDemonstrate highest personal ethics and integrityAbility to maintain absolute confidentiality of informationTeam player, collaborative, able to work with and through othersWHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
