Family Law Attorney

Our New York City firm is seeking a skilled Family Law Attorney to help expand our growing family law division. This role is ideal for an attorney experienced in handling family matters who can work independently while having the resources and support of a well-established firm.Role Overview:The ideal candidate is confident in litigation and negotiation, able to manage a full caseload, and comfortable serving as the primary family law resource within the team.Key Responsibilities:Manage and handle family law cases including divorce, custody, support, property distribution, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence mattersConduct client consultations and develop case strategyPrepare and draft motions, pleadings, and settlement agreementsRepresent clients in court and at mediation/arbitration proceedingsMaintain strong client communication and a high level of professionalismHelp build and grow the firm’s family law practice areaQualifications:5+ years of experience practicing family lawAdmission to the New York State Bar in good standingCourtroom and litigation experience requiredStrong writing, analytical, and negotiation skillsAbility to manage cases independently and efficientlyProfessional demeanor with empathy toward clients facing sensitive issuesCompensation:Full-time, in-person roleSalary range: $160,000- $245,000 annually + performance bonuses(Factors that may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.)Comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility requirements, including:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid holidays annually
