We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused Family Medicine Specialist / Family Physician to join a well-established healthcare organization in Oman.The role is ideal for a physician who enjoys providing comprehensive care across different age groups and managing patients through all stages of their healthcare journey. The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering accessible, preventive, and evidence-based primary care.Your RoleProvide comprehensive primary care consultations for adults, adolescents, and childrenAssess patients presenting with new, undifferentiated, and ongoing health concernsDiagnose and manage acute illnesses as well as chronic medical conditionsDevelop personalized treatment and follow-up plans based on individual patient needsProvide preventive healthcare, routine health assessments, and risk-factor screeningMonitor patients with diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, obesity, asthma, thyroid disorders, and other common chronic conditionsProvide lifestyle counseling covering nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation, weight management, and general wellnessAssess common minor illnesses and conditions that can be managed within primary careRecognize red-flag symptoms and arrange timely referral to appropriate specialists or emergency servicesReview and interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, imaging, and other diagnostic reportsProvide appropriate health education to patients and familiesCoordinate continuity of care for patients requiring specialist consultation or hospital-based treatmentMaintain accurate and confidential electronic medical recordsEnsure appropriate prescribing, medication review, and monitoring of treatment responseParticipate in vaccination, screening, preventive medicine, and health-promotion initiativesWork collaboratively with nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and allied healthcare professionalsParticipate in clinical meetings, audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety activitiesFollow applicable Oman healthcare regulations, professional standards, clinical guidelines, and organizational policiesRequirementsMBBS, MD, or equivalent recognized medical qualificationRecognized postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine / Family PracticeRelevant post-specialization clinical experienceStrong experience in primary care and comprehensive family medicineAbility to manage patients across different age groups and with multiple medical conditionsStrong clinical reasoning and diagnostic skillsExcellent patient communication and counseling abilitiesPatient-centered and preventive-care approachAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
