Be a leader of the health care team and provide input to improve the operations and quality of services delivered.Hours:Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; rotational Saturday and after-hours call coverage.ClinicalProvide health maintenanceProvide preventative health careProvide evaluation and treatment for acute and chronic illnessesProvide health education to patientsPerform basic interpretation of EKGs and laboratory valuesSupervise physician assistant, mid-level practitioner, nurses, any residents, and students in the care they provideAssist with triaging phone calls and drop-in visitsParticipate in 24-hour on-call and hospitalization responsibilities, as per agreementAdministrativeAssist in maintaining and facilitating smooth clinic operationsAssist in utilization review and medical quality assurance, as requested by the Medical DirectorReview patient charts and discuss patient dispositionParticipate in designated projects delegated by the Medical DirectorAssists in planning and conducting an in-service training program for an intern, resident, and technical staffAssume administrative work as requested by the Medical DirectorAdvocacy Carry out health advocacy measures by overall AHS health advocacy plansServe as a facilitator in this processTake initiative in discovering new and more effective means of conducting health advocacy work with patientsMinimum QualificationsMust have a valid California Physician/Surgeon licenseMust have current Board Certification or be Board Eligible in specialtyInterest and commitment to serve the Asian communityPrimary care specialty in pediatrics, family practice, etcPreferred QualificationsProficient in an Asian language (Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog) a plusExperience in working in the Asian community preferred perform dutiesCertifications, Licenses, RegistrationsValid California Physician/Surgeon licenseCurrent Board Certification or Board Eligible in specialtyBenefits That Support YouWe're committed to supporting our team's well-being.
