Role DescriptionAn Architect is responsible for developing architectural concepts, designs, technical drawings, and project documentation for residential, commercial, industrial, and other construction projects. The role works closely with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and authorities to ensure designs meet project requirements, building regulations, quality standards, budgets, and timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop architectural concepts, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.Prepare 2D and 3D architectural designs, presentations, visualizations, and project documentation.Review client requirements, project briefs, design specifications, and technical requirements.Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, material schedules, and technical submissions.Review shop drawings, material samples, technical documents, and contractor submissions.Conduct site visits, inspections, measurements, and design verification activities.Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, project teams, and relevant authorities.Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, planning requirements, safety standards, and regulations.Support preparation and submission of drawings and documents for permits, approvals, and authority requirements.Identify and resolve design conflicts, technical issues, construction challenges, and coordination problems.Review and incorporate client comments, design changes, site conditions, and project requirements.Support project planning, scheduling, cost control, material selection, and design coordination.Prepare architectural specifications, reports, presentations, meeting documents, and design reviews.Participate in project meetings, design coordination meetings, site meetings, and inspections.Maintain accurate architectural drawings, revisions, project records, specifications, and documentation.Research new architectural materials, technologies, sustainable solutions, and industry trends.Identify opportunities to improve design quality, functionality, sustainability, efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.Previous experience in architectural design, construction, consultancy, or project development is preferred.Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, construction methods, building materials, and building systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or other architectural design and visualization software.Good understanding of BIM processes and sustainable architectural design is advantageous.Strong ability to prepare and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documentation.Knowledge of applicable building codes, planning regulations, construction standards, and health and safety requirements.UAE architectural, building, municipality, and authority requirements experience is advantageous.Strong design, visualization, analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and client-management abilities.Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines.Experience with construction sites, inspections, technical coordination, and project documentation.Professional architectural registration, membership, or relevant certification is advantageous.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project-management or documentation software.Professional, creative, organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.Strong commitment to design quality, technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, project efficiency, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
