Farm Manager

Job Summary:A private farming institution in the UAE is seeking a capable and hands-on Farm Manager to lead the management and coordination of daily operations across multiple farms in Ras Al Khaimah.This role is designed for a mid-career professional ready to take full ownership of farm operations, combining practical experience with strong organizational and leadership capabilities. The Farm Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all farm activities across crop production, livestock, and beekeeping operations.The farm operates across multiple locations and spans approximately 50 acres in total. Its operations include:Five date farms with approximately 5,000 palm treesThree fruit and vegetable farms with around 3,000 olive trees and 3,000 other fruit treesOne livestock farm housing approximately 400 animals, including sheep, goats, and othersThree bee farms with a total of around 3,000 beehivesOne greenhouseKey Responsibilities1. Operational LeadershipLead and coordinate all day-to-day farm operations across multiple locationsPlan and execute planting, harvesting, irrigation, feeding, and maintenance schedulesEnsure consistent delivery of operational standards and outputs across all farms2. Team ManagementDirectly supervise and manage farm workers across all sitesAllocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure accountabilityMaintain a productive, safe, and well-organized working environment3. Crop, Livestock, and Beekeeping ManagementOversee the health and productivity of crops, trees, animals, and beehivesImplement pest control, fertilization, irrigation, and basic veterinary practicesOptimize yields and operational efficiency across all production areas4. Resource and Equipment ManagementOversee the use, maintenance, and repair of farm machinery and equipmentManage inputs and resources efficiently, including water, feed, and suppliesCoordinate procurement and vendor relationships as needed5. Monitoring, Data, and ReportingMaintain accurate records of farm activities, production, and resource useTrack key performance indicators and ensure data-driven decision-makingUtilize digital tools and farm management systems where applicable6. Continuous ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements in productivity, efficiency, and sustainabilityIntroduce practical innovations, including digital or AI-supported solutions where relevantEnsure operations adapt effectively to local environmental and climatic conditionsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture, Animal Science, or related fieldApproximately 4–7 years of relevant experience in farm management or supervisory rolesPractical experience in at least one of the following: crop production of olives and/or date palms, beekeeping is a must.Experience and CompetenciesProven ability to lead farm operations independentlyStrong organizational and coordination skills across multiple sitesHands-on approach with solid practical agricultural knowledgeAbility to manage teams and drive accountabilityProblem-solving mindset and adaptability in dynamic environmentsReporting LineReports directly to farm ownership / senior managementMay coordinate with external advisors or technical specialistsWorking Conditions and RequirementsBased in Ras Al Khaimah with multi-site responsibilitiesAbility to work outdoors and across different farm environmentsValid driving license is an advantageCompensationSalary: Competitive and based on experience
