As a growing organization, we value collaboration, quality, and ongoing professional development for the interpreters we engage.Role Description The Farsi to English Interpreter role is a full-time, fully remote position focused on delivering accurate, confidential interpretation services between Farsi and English speakers. On a day-to-day basis, the interpreter will facilitate real-time communication via phone or video, conveying spoken information faithfully, including tone and intent, while maintaining professional neutrality. Responsibilities include preparing for assignments by reviewing any provided materials, clarifying terminology when appropriate, and adhering to client-specific guidelines and HIPAA requirements. The interpreter will accurately document session details when needed, follow established protocols for handling sensitive information, and escalate issues according to company policies. Collaboration with coordinators and supervisors, participation in periodic training, and consistent availability during scheduled working hours are integral to the role.Qualifications Strong command of both Farsi and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills in professional settings.Demonstrated ability to interpret accurately and consecutively, maintaining meaning, tone, and register without additions or omissions.Familiarity with medical and general professional terminology; prior experience in healthcare, legal, or social services environments is an advantage.Knowledge of and commitment to interpreter ethics, including confidentiality, neutrality, cultural sensitivity, and compliance with HIPAA requirements.Reliable remote work setup, including stable high-speed internet, a quiet and private workspace, and proficiency with phone and video conferencing tools.Strong time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stress and handle emotionally sensitive conversations.Previous interpreting or translation experience and relevant certifications or training in interpreting or linguistics are preferred.Ability to work independently, follow structured protocols, and participate in ongoing training and quality assurance activities.
