The organization values inclusivity, innovation, and continuous improvement in all its programs.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Design Lecturer role based in Kurunegala. The Fashion Design Lecturer will plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in fashion design, including areas such as garment construction, pattern making, textiles, and fashion illustration. The role includes developing and updating curricula, lesson plans, and teaching materials to reflect current industry trends and standards. The lecturer will assess student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and academic guidance. Additional responsibilities include mentoring students on portfolios, coordinating with academic staff on program development, participating in internal meetings and professional development activities, and contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.Qualifications Strong foundation in fashion design principles, garment construction, pattern making, textiles, and fashion illustration.Experience in teaching, lecturing, or training, with the ability to facilitate engaging, learner-focused sessions.Curriculum development skills, including designing course outlines, lesson plans, and assessment methods aligned with industry standards.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse learners.Proficiency in relevant design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools for fashion) is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a closely related field; equivalent professional experience will be considered.Demonstrated industry experience in fashion design, production, or related roles is highly beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, manage teaching schedules, and maintain accurate academic records.Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and continuous professional development.
