About the JobRole DescriptionA Fashion Stylist Assistant supports fashion stylists, creative teams, photographers, brands, and production teams in planning and executing fashion styling projects. The role involves researching fashion trends, preparing outfits and accessories, organizing garments, coordinating samples, assisting with fittings and styling sessions, and supporting the smooth execution of photo shoots, events, campaigns, and other fashion-related activities.The position is suitable for candidates with experience or education in fashion styling, fashion design, merchandising, visual arts, fashion retail, or related creative fields. Previous experience assisting a stylist, fashion brand, photography studio, production company, or editorial team is an advantage.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist fashion stylists with the planning and execution of styling projects.Research current fashion trends, designers, brands, colors, silhouettes, fabrics, and accessories.Assist with developing styling concepts, mood boards, visual references, and creative presentations.Source clothing, shoes, accessories, jewelry, props, and other styling items based on project requirements.Contact fashion brands, boutiques, showrooms, designers, and suppliers regarding product availability and sample requests.Arrange and track clothing and accessory samples for styling projects.Maintain accurate records of borrowed, purchased, rented, and returned fashion items.Organize garments and accessories according to styling concepts, clients, projects, and schedules.Prepare outfits and complete looks before fittings, photo shoots, events, and other assignments.Assist stylists during client fittings and make appropriate adjustments as directed.Prepare clothing racks, accessories, styling kits, and other materials for shoots and events.Assist with steaming, pressing, folding, labeling, packing, and transporting garments.Ensure garments and accessories are handled carefully and maintained in good condition.Assist with selecting appropriate clothing and accessories based on body type, occasion, brand identity, and styling objectives.Support stylists in creating coordinated outfits and complete looks.Assist during fashion photography, editorial shoots, advertising campaigns, catalog shoots, social media content, and events.Help prepare models, clients, or talent for styling sessions under the direction of the lead stylist.Coordinate with photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists, models, designers, producers, and other creative professionals.Assist with maintaining styling schedules and ensuring required items are available on time.Support on-location styling activities and provide assistance during production.Keep track of clothing changes, accessories, styling sequences, and approved looks.Assist with last-minute styling changes and replacement-item sourcing when required.Return borrowed, rented, or sampled items to brands, showrooms, and suppliers within agreed timelines.Inspect garments and accessories before returning them and report any damage or missing items.Maintain an organized wardrobe, styling room, sample area, and equipment storage space.Assist with managing styling supplies, tools, garment bags, hangers, racks, and other equipment.Maintain accurate project files, supplier contacts, product information, and styling references.Assist with preparing styling budgets, product lists, quotations, and expense records when required.Research new fashion brands, designers, retailers, suppliers, and emerging trends.Maintain awareness of seasonal collections, fashion events, and industry developments.Assist with social media content, fashion presentations, showroom activities, and promotional projects when required.Maintain professional relationships with clients, brands, suppliers, and creative team members.Handle client and project information confidentially.Follow company procedures and applicable workplace health and safety requirements.Perform other fashion styling and creative project support duties as assigned.RequirementsDiploma or bachelor's degree in Fashion Styling, Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in fashion styling, fashion retail, merchandising, photography, editorial production, or related creative environments is an advantage.Strong interest and knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, brands, and styling techniques.Good understanding of clothing coordination, color combinations, accessories, fabrics, and proportions.Strong visual and creative sense.Excellent attention to detail.Good organizational and time-management skills.Ability to manage multiple garments, accessories, samples, and project requirements.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work professionally with clients, models, photographers, designers, suppliers, and production teams.Good research and product-sourcing abilities.Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and in fast-paced creative environments.Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.Good understanding of garment care, handling, steaming, and presentation.Familiarity with fashion retailers, showrooms, online fashion platforms, and supplier networks is an advantage.Basic knowledge of fashion styling, photography, lighting, and production processes is beneficial.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic digital organization tools is preferred.Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar creative software is an advantage.A personal fashion portfolio, styling projects, or relevant creative work is an advantage.Professional appearance and strong sense of personal presentation.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and extended hours during shoots or events.Ability to travel to different locations for fittings, shoots, events, and styling assignments when required.Fluency in
