Position: FRP & Painting TechnicianReports to: Workshop Supervisor

Location: Al Jubail (workshop)Employment: Full-timeABOUT USAlboom Marine KSA is the Saudi branch of Alboom Marine (Kuwait).

We operate a marine workshop (FRP repair, painting, outboard service, electrical/mechanical, welding, trailer fabrication), a showroom (marine accessories, spare parts, fishing and diving equipment), government supply and tenders, and vessel operations and charter.ROLE SUMMARYRepair, refinish, and maintain boat hulls and decks, with focus on fiberglass (FRP) repair, gelcoat, antifouling, and marine painting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInspect hull and deck damage and report repair scope and materials to the supervisor.Perform FRP repairs: grinding, laminating, core repair, filling, fairing, and finishing.Gelcoat repair, colour matching, wet sanding, polishing, and buffing.Surface preparation for painting: sanding, masking, degreasing, priming.Apply antifouling, primers, topside, and deck paints per manufacturer specs (roller and spray).Apply and remove waterline and boot stripes, decals, and non-skid coatings.Remove and refit deck hardware, rails, cleats, hatches, and through-hulls with correct sealing.Handle resins, catalysts, paints, and solvents safely; use PPE, respirators, and ventilation.Record materials used and labour hours on job cards.Guide the helper on prep work and keep the FRP and paint area clean and organised.Control material use and reduce waste.REQUIREMENTSTechnical institute certificate or equivalent trade experience.Minimum 3 years FRP / composite repair and painting experience on boats.Skilled in gelcoat matching, fairing, antifouling, and spray painting.Knowledge of polyester, vinylester, and epoxy systems and marine paint systems (Jotun, International, Hempel or similar).Able to work to finish quality standards and deadlines.Safe working with chemicals and power tools.Basic English or Arabic.Transferable Iqama preferred.WHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary based on experienceHousing and transport allowance (or per company policy)Medical insurance and GOSIAnnual leave and air ticket per Saudi Labour LawSteady workload in a growing marine workshopHOW TO APPLYSend CV with photos of previous work to: info@alboommarineksa.comSubject: FRP & Painting Technician – Alboom Marine KSA
