Field Application Engineer (FAE) – BESS

Location: UAE / Türkiye / Uzbekistan / Middle East RegionRole OverviewThe FAE will provide on-site and remote technical support for utility-scale BESS projects, with a focus on commissioning, grid connection, performance testing, troubleshooting, and after-sales technical support.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport commissioning, grid connection, performance testing, troubleshooting, and operation of BESS equipment including battery systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS.Lead or support on-site electrical commissioning and system integration during grid-connection activities.Diagnose complex field issues and coordinate with R&D, Engineering, and Quality teams for root-cause analysis and resolution.Support customers, local service partners, and internal service teams to maintain system availability and operational performance.Understand regional power-system requirements and translate field and customer feedback into product and system improvement actions.Prepare and maintain commissioning procedures, test reports, troubleshooting guides, O&M documentation, and technical SOPs.Train and technically support local service partners.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or related fields.3–5+ years of commissioning, grid-connection, or performance-testing experience in large-scale BESS, solar, or other renewable energy projects.Strong understanding of BESS architecture and BMS protection/control logic.Hands-on experience with PCS/BMS commissioning and power-plant grid-connection processes.Strong troubleshooting and technical documentation capabilities.Fluent English; additional regional languages are a plus.Willingness to travel extensively or be based in the region.
