With that appointment comes a commitment to build the region's strongest Jetson service and support capability and this role is at the center of it.About the roleWe're hiring a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to be MMT's technical authority on the NVIDIA Jetson platform and JetPack SDK. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role that spans the full lifecycle: helping partners and developers design Jetson and integrate NVIDIA’s AI software stack into their products and owning Tier-1 technical support for key Jetson developers across Australia.You'll work with everyone from robotics startups flashing their first Orin Nano developer kit to established OEMs deploying fleets of production modules, helping them integrate NVIDIA's AI stack across both hardware (modules, carrier boards, cameras, sensors) and software. When customers hit problems, you'll be their first call: triaging, reproducing, and debugging issues, resolving what can be resolved locally, and managing escalations into NVIDIA's engineering support channels when needed.This is a rare opportunity to build a support practice from the ground up, with direct engagement with NVIDIA's regional and worldwide Jetson teams.What you'll doPre-sales engineering (40%)Act as the technical lead on Jetson opportunities alongside our AI Sales Specialists, scoping requirements, recommending the right hardware, and validating solution architectures.Run technical workshops, webinars, and developer enablement sessions with MMT's marketing team, and represent MMT at industry events and NVIDIA partner activitiesAdvise customers on the Jetson and JetPack roadmaps, product lifecycle, and migrationSupport carrier board, camera, and sensor selection through MMT’s growing Jetson ecosystem partner networkPost-sales support and debugging (40%)Own Tier-1 technical support for MMT's key Jetson developer accounts in Australia: intake, triage, reproduction, and resolution of hardware and software issuesDebug across the stack, board bring-up, device flashing (SDK Manager, initrd/manual flashing), bootloader and kernel issues, driver and peripheral integration (MIPI CSI cameras, I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, PCIe), power modes and thermal behaviourDiagnose AI stack issues: CUDA, TensorRT engine builds, cuDNN, DeepStream pipelines, container runtime (nvidia-container-toolkit), model conversion and quantisation problemsManage escalations to NVIDIA Tier-2 engineering support with well-formed reproduction cases, and communicate status clearly back to customersBuild an internal knowledge base of known issues, workarounds, and best practices; establish repeatable support processes, SLAs, and tooling as the practice growsTeam and ecosystem (20%)Upskill MMT's sales and product teams on Jetson positioning, roadmap, and use casesMaintain MMT's Jetson demo lab and developer kit fleetStay current with the JetPack release cadence and NVIDIA's edge AI direction (e.g. JetPack 7.x, NemoClaw and Jetson agent skills, MIG on Thor, Holoscan Sensor Bridge) and translate what's new into customer and partner guidanceContribute technical input to MMT marketing content, solution briefs, and campaign materialWhat you'll bringEssential3+ years in an FAE, solutions engineering, embedded software, or applied AI engineering role or equivalent demonstrable project experienceHands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson hardware and the JetPack SDKStrong Linux skillsWorking knowledge of the NVIDIA AI software stackProficiency in Python and working knowledge of C/C++Experience with containers (Docker/NGC containers) on ARM/embedded targetsUnderstanding of embedded hardware interfaces and comfort with basic lab equipmentExcellent customer-facing communicationAbility to travel within Australia and New Zealand and full working rights in AustraliaFamiliarity with the Jetson ecosystem partner landscape (carrier boards, rugged systems, camera partners)Highly regardedExperience standing up or running a technical support function (ticketing, SLAs, escalation management)Experience with JetPack 7.xROS 2 / Isaac ROS robotics experience, or vision AI pipeline experience (GStreamer, DeepStream, VLM/GenAI at the edge)Model optimisation experienceNVIDIA certifications or prior experience in an NVIDIA partner/distributor environment.Why MMTGround-floor opportunity: build ANZ's Jetson support practice from day one, with real ownership of how it runsDirect NVIDIA engagement: work closely with NVIDIA's regional team, with access to training, certification pathways, and early product enablementBreadth: exposure across the full NVIDIA portfolio - edge, workstation, and data centre and across every major ANZ verticalCompetitive package: salary + super commensurate with experience, plus professional development and certification supportHow to applySend your Resume and a short note about a Jetson or comparable embedded AI project you've worked on.MMT is an equal opportunity employer.
