Visit our website at www.orbitiss.com to learn more.Role Overview:Orbit International Survey Services LLC (Orbit ISS) is looking for a Field Expeditor to be based in our India Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and expediting assigned Long Lead Items (LLIs) for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, ensuring timely progress from Purchase Order placement through manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and final delivery to site.The role involves close coordination with vendors, procurement, engineering, QA/QC, logistics, and project teams to identify potential delays, monitor progress, and ensure critical materials and equipment are delivered as per project requirements and schedules.Key Responsibilities: Monitor vendor manufacturing progress against approved schedules, PO milestones, and planned delivery dates, including critical LLIs and major components/raw materials. Coordinate with vendors/suppliers for regular updates on engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, inspections, FAT, equipment release, and overall progress. Review vendor schedules and track actual versus planned progress, identifying potential delays, risks, and deviations at an early stage. Follow up on engineering and manufacturing documentation, including drawings, data sheets, calculations, and other required documents. Conduct/coordinate vendor visits to physically verify manufacturing progress, material readiness, inspections, and testing activities. Prepare and maintain expediting reports, progress updates, photographs, and LLI trackers covering PO status, manufacturing progress, inspections, shipment, and estimated delivery. Escalate delays and deviations and coordinate recovery plans with vendors and project teams to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate with QA/QC, engineering, procurement, logistics, and construction teams on inspections, release, packing, shipping documentation, dispatch, and delivery of LLIs.Requirements Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. 10 years of experience in Field/Vendor Expediting within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Marine, or EPC projects. Proven experience in LLI expediting, vendor coordination, and manufacturing progress monitoring. Strong knowledge of vendor schedules, engineering documents, material procurement, inspections/FAT, and shipment readiness. Experience in vendor visits and physical progress verification. Ability to identify delays, risks, and coordinate recovery actions. Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; SAP/ERP and Primavera P6 experience is an advantage. Strong communication, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
