Field IT Specialist Reporting to: Head of IT About The JobThe Field IT Specialist provides on-site technical support at the Al Jurf Site Office and serves as the primary point of contact for local IT requirements. The position ensures the reliable operation of end-user devices, Microsoft 365 services, network connectivity, meeting-room technology, printers, IT assets and CCTV systems. The role handles incidents and service requests within its assigned support level, maintains accurate technical and asset records, and acts as the on-site technical resource for infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise-application matters. Complex or high-risk issues must be properly documented and escalated to the Head of IT or the appropriate specialist or service provider.Key ResponsibilitiesUser SupportProvide on-site, walk-up and ticket-based user support.Resolve hardware, Windows, Microsoft 365, connectivity and printing issues.Provide first-line support for approved ERP, CRM and business applications.Log, prioritise and update all incidents and service requests.Meet SLAs, keep users informed and escalate complex issues.Guide users on approved systems and cybersecurity practices.Microsoft Modern Workplace and EndpointsPrepare, image and deploy computers, mobile devices and peripherals.Join devices to Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.Enrol and manage endpoints through Intune and Windows Autopilot.Deploy approved applications, drivers, patches and security updates.Support Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.Handle joiner, mover and leaver device activities.Network and Infrastructure SupportProvide first-line support for LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN and internet issues.Assist with switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, access points and fibre links.Perform cable tracing, port testing, equipment checks and approved restarts.Support network printers, scanners and multifunction devices.Maintain site equipment and network documentation.Escalate outages, performance issues and security concerns promptly.Cybersecurity and Endpoint ProtectionApply approved security baselines and device-compliance requirements.Respond to assigned Microsoft Defender alerts and endpoint incidents.Maintain operating-system, application and security patch compliance.Report malware, phishing, unauthorised software and access violations.Support vulnerability remediation and incident investigations.IT Asset and Inventory ManagementMaintain accurate site hardware, software and accessory records.Track equipment assignment, transfer, repair, return and disposal.Perform physical asset checks and reconcile the asset register.Maintain approved spares, peripherals and consumables.Monitor toner levels and raise required purchase requests.Coordinate warranties, repairs and vendors with the Head of IT.Meeting Rooms, AV and CCTVSupport Teams Rooms, displays, cameras, microphones and presentation equipment.Complete routine checks before important meetings and events.Support CCTV cameras, recording equipment and network connections.Escalate CCTV faults, storage issues and coverage concerns.Governance and DocumentationMaintain support records, configurations, checklists and site documentation.Follow IT policies, procedures, change controls and escalation paths.Provide ticketing, assets and operational reports when requested.Support audits, risk assessments and compliance reviews.Protect confidential company and employee information.Participate in IT projects assigned by the Head of IT.Required Qualifications and ExperienceDiploma or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.3 -5 years of IT experience.Site-office, construction, property-development or multi-location support experience is preferred.Technical SkillsWindows, computer-device, mobile-device and peripheral troubleshooting.Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and OneDrive support.Intune, Windows Autopilot, Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, VLAN, switching, routing and firewall fundamentals.Microsoft Defender, endpoint security, patching and device compliance.Printers, meeting-room technology, CCTV, ticketing and asset systems.CertificationsCompTIA A+ is preferred.Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102) or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900) is added value.ITIL 4 Foundation is preferred.SC-200 or AZ-500 is advantageous.Core CompetenciesStructured troubleshooting and problem solving.Clear communication with non-technical users.Accurate ticket and asset documentation.Effective prioritisation in a fast-paced site environment.Dependability, discretion and accountability.
