OSC ENERGY LLC values professionalism, accountability, and strong field support to keep operations running efficiently.Role Description The Field Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position located in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Field Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment and machinery used in oil and energy operations, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance checks, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, and completing maintenance and repair tasks in the field and at site locations. The role also involves maintaining accurate service records, following safety protocols, coordinating with operations teams to minimize downtime, and ensuring tools, parts, and equipment are properly managed and ready for use.Qualifications Strong maintenance skills, including Maintenance & Repair and general Maintenance of mechanical systems.Experience with Preventive Maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life.Hands-on expertise working with Heavy Equipment used in industrial, construction, or energy settings.Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.Previous experience as a field mechanic, service technician, or similar role in energy, construction, or industrial sectors.Ability to work on-site in varying field conditions, including lifting, bending, and operating tools and equipment safely.Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial and field environments.Relevant technical certification or vocational training in mechanics, diesel technology, or a related field preferred.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to field and site locations.Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
