The flagship “Drone-in-a-Box” system integrates drones, an airbase, swappable payloads, and proprietary software to support 24/7 unmanned aerial missions.Role Description The Field Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, responsible for operating and overseeing autonomous drone systems in the field. This includes preparing and configuring the Drone-in-a-Box systems, performing pre-flight and post-flight checks, and monitoring real-time missions to ensure safety, compliance, and system performance. The role involves coordinating with technical and operations teams, reporting incidents or anomalies, and supporting data capture workflows for government and industrial clients. The Field Operator will follow standard operating procedures, assist in basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, and ensure that all site activities meet regulatory and company standards. The position may require working in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, to support 24/7 operations.Qualifications Experience in field operations or technical support for drones, robotics, or similar automated systems, with strong hands-on troubleshooting abilities.Knowledge of basic electronics, networking, or mechanical systems relevant to operating and maintaining field equipment.Familiarity with safety protocols, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance in aviation, industrial, or security environments.Ability to work on-site in outdoor and industrial settings, including rotating shifts, and to follow detailed standard operating procedures.Strong communication and reporting skills, including clear documentation of incidents, maintenance activities, and mission outcomes.Comfort with digital tools and operational software platforms used for mission planning, monitoring, and data logging.Relevant technical diploma or degree (e.g., engineering, aviation, robotics, IT) is an advantage; prior UAV/drone operational experience is highly beneficial.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different sites within Dubai and the wider region as needed.
