Field Safety Representative - Indianapolis, IN

The Field Safety Representative promotes TWC's safety culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. The Field Safety Representative is expected to spend 100% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. Reinforces positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards. Serves as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned. Embeds self with the project team and strategically “dives in” using a hands-on approach to improve project safety, quality and productivity (SQP).The Field Safety Representative is responsible for the following:Promote the company's safety culture by being a safety resource to the project.Assist in project compliance with all safety rules and regulationsAssist with or fully conduct case management, including weekly incident reviewsIdentifies unsafe conditions and behaviors, and coaches the immediate correction to eliminate the condition or behaviorObserves and coaches co-workers responsible for daily Mission Task Analyses (MTAs) and Tool Box Talks to ensure they are completed effectively.Applies all OSHA regulations to the scope of workConducts continual safety review of the project siteConducts safety trainings such as fall protection, rigging, equipment operation, confined space and Haz-ComEducation:Bachelor's Degree or minimum of (4) years of concrete/safety construction experienceExperience:Field Safety ExperienceCHST certification preferredOSHA 510 preferredAt TWC Concrete we’re Looking for people who take the initiative and make things happen.
