Field Safety Specialist

The selected Field Safety Specialist will be a key addition to the team for heavy civil federal construction projects in South Texas including sections of border wall. This position supports the Prime Contractor, and reports to the SSHO and Director of Safety. OSHA 30 certification is required for serious consideration. E: mckaelaromans@realrepp.comKey ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Technical Director and SSHO on enforcement of safety best practicesParticipating in regular meetings with field personnel and enforcing site specific safety plansStaying up to date on safety regulations and identifying potential workplace hazards Assisting with documentation including incident reportsAssisting with field inspections, subcontractor oversight, traffic control, and correct usage of heavy equipment Supporting Field Leadership in maintaining a safe workplace Qualifications5+ years of relevant heavy civil infrastructure construction experienceHS Diploma or equivalent OSHA 30 Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 protocol is a PLUSKnowledge of wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniquesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with field inspections, AHAs/pre-task planning, subcontractor oversight, corrective actions, excavation, heavy equipment, lifting, traffic control, and similar field hazardsCompensation PackageSalary 75k-110k (based on experience)Per Diem and/or relocation packageDiscretionary Performance BonusesHealth/Dental/VisionCompany Equipment and StipendsWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
