Field Service Engineer

📍 Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE💰 Salary: Up to AED 12,000 per monthAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our client's team in the UAE. The role involves installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting water and wastewater treatment systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).You will work directly with clients to ensure reliable plant operations, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-quality after-sales service. The role also requires international travel, including offshore assignments and projects in moderate- to high-risk countries.Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot water and wastewater treatment systems, including RO, STP, ETP, and filtration systems.- Conduct site inspections, diagnose equipment faults, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.- Perform scheduled maintenance, equipment calibration, repairs, and reconditioning of RO units and components.- Plan and coordinate site visits, including the preparation of tools, spare parts, materials, and manpower.- Provide technical support and training to clients to ensure proper system operation.- Prepare service reports, inspection findings, repair recommendations, and parts lists.- Ensure all work complies with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and company procedures.- Coordinate with clients, the Sales team, and Technical Support team to resolve technical issues and improve service quality.- Lead and supervise field teams during installation and commissioning assignments.- Identify opportunities for service improvements and additional business in coordination with the Sales team.- Ensure projects are completed within the agreed schedule, budget, and quality standards.Requirements- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience in water treatment system operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, or field service.- Strong technical knowledge of RO, STP, ETP, filtration systems, and water treatment equipment.- Proven experience in offshore water treatment system installation and commissioning.- Essential knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).- Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe working practices.- Experience working in the Mediterranean region is preferred.- Good English communication skills are essential.- Arabic language proficiency is preferred, ideally as a native speaker.- Willingness to travel internationally, including offshore locations and moderate- to high-risk countries.- Hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and lead field teams.Important NoteThis position requires hands-on fieldwork, offshore assignments, and the ability to work in challenging site environments, including confined spaces and remote locations.
