Apply & track with Apply EdgeField Service Engineer - Medical DeviceCompany Vehicle ProvidedPosition SummaryWe are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair support for medical devices and laboratory equipment at customer sites throughout an assigned territory. This customer-facing role requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.The Field Service Engineer will work closely with customers and internal service teams to maintain equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support ongoing service needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on medical and laboratory equipment.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical issues and implement corrective actions.Coordinate service visits and communicate scheduling, arrival times, and job status updates with customers.Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain inventory of replacement parts and service tools required to support field activities.Ensure all service work is completed in compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.Identify opportunities for additional service, maintenance, and equipment support.Collaborate with internal teams to provide repair quotes and customer solutions.Maintain strong customer relationships through responsive and professional service.Participate in ongoing technical training and team meetings.Maintain an organized and properly stocked service vehicle.QualificationsAssociate degree, technical certification, military technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.Experience servicing medical devices, laboratory instrumentation, industrial equipment, or other electromechanical systems.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic reporting systems.Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and manage a regional service territory.Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Ability to stand, bend, and work in equipment service environments for extended periods.Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Travel RequirementsRegular travel to customer facilities throughout the assigned territory.Travel by vehicle and commercial airline as required.Overnight travel required based on customer and business needs.Company vehicle provided.
