The company is headquartered in New York, NY and serves clients across diverse scientific and clinical settings.Role Description</strong> This is a full-time remote role for a Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will travel to client sites to perform certification, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance on biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, cleanrooms, and other controlled-environment equipment. Daily responsibilities include conducting field inspections, performing decontamination procedures, documenting work performed, preparing compliance reports, and communicating findings and recommendations to clients. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, airflow, and control issues, coordinating with internal team members on complex technical problems, and ensuring that all work adheres to relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards. The technician will manage schedules, maintain tools and calibration equipment, and provide professional on-site support that helps clients keep their laboratory operations safe and compliant.Qualifications Technical skills in servicing and certifying biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, cleanrooms, and related laboratory equipment.Ability to perform chemical decontamination procedures (e.g., chlorine dioxide) and follow established safety protocols.Strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills for electro-mechanical and airflow systems.Competence in compliance review, documentation, and report writing to support regulatory and accreditation requirements.Familiarity with NSF 49, ASHRAE 110, and other relevant standards and guidelines for laboratory safety and performance.Effective communication and customer service skills for working with research, clinical, and industry clients on-site.Ability to work independently in the field, manage time and travel schedules, and maintain organized service records.Comfort with using digital tools for work orders, data entry, and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, documentation systems).High attention to detail, commitment to safety, and adherence to quality control procedures.Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel regularly to client locations.Training & SupportTraining providedincluding classroom instruction and hands-on mentorship with experienced technicians Schedule & TravelMorning shift Occasional weekend work - may be required East Coast territory with a company vehicle providedBackground checkDrug testingSafety trainingPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work in various positions (bending, kneeling, sitting, standing) Preferred (Nice to Have)Experience in **BSCs**, HVAC, calibration, biomedical/pharmaceutical environments, or similar technical service work
