Position: Field Service TechnicianLocation: Greater Boston Area (Based in Northeastern Massachusetts or Southern New Hampshire)Employment Type: Full-TimeTravel: Approximately 50–70% Domestic and InternationalAbout the OpportunityThe team at Edge has partnered with a client north of Boston that is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of large-scale industrial equipment and high-pressure systems at customer locations throughout the U.S. and internationally.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, solving complex mechanical problems, working directly with customers, and servicing highly engineered industrial equipment in the field.Training will be provided on the systems and equipment. Technicians with expertise and experience installing and repairing large industrial equipment at customer sites who are open to travel for work are encouraged to apply.ResponsibilitiesInstall, inspect, maintain, and repair pressure vessels and high-pressure equipment at customer sites.Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and system performance issues.Conduct pressure testing and safety inspections to ensure equipment complies with applicable industry standards.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and technical documentation.Train customers on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.Prepare detailed service reports documenting inspections, repairs, and recommendations.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability and serviceability.Maintain compliance with company safety procedures and applicable industry regulations.Travel extensively to customer locations throughout North America and internationally.Required Qualifications3+ years of experience servicing industrial equipment, pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, pumps, compressors, or other large-scale and complex mechanical systems.Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.Experience reading engineering drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently while representing the company at customer sites.Valid driver's license.Willingness to travel extensively, including international travel.Preferred QualificationsExperience with pressure vessel codes and industry safety standards.Experience with PLCs or industrial control systems.Welding and fabrication experience.Industrial maintenance or field service background.Experience supporting manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, chemical processing, or industrial equipment.What Success Looks LikeThe successful candidate will become a trusted technical resource for customers by providing expert installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services while helping maximize equipment reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.WE ARE NOT WORKING WITH THIRD PARTY AGENCIES ON ANY ROLES AT THIS TIME.PLEASE, NO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS FROM THIRD PARTIES.
