In this role, the technician will travel to customer locations to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment according to company standards and safety guidelines. The technician will perform routine maintenance, document service activities, and communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommendations, and next steps. Day-to-day responsibilities include using diagnostic tools, reading and interpreting technical documentation, coordinating with the internal team for parts and scheduling, and maintaining accurate service records. The technician will also support continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues, suggesting process enhancements, and participating in training to stay current with equipment and procedures.Qualifications Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders, and to follow standardized procedures and safety protocols.Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including identifying root causes and implementing practical, timely solutions in the field.Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, professional language.Reliable time management and organizational skills, including managing daily schedules, service tickets, and documentation.Comfort working independently on-site in varying environments, including travel within Greater Houston as required.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training in a relevant field (e.g., electronics, mechanics) is preferred.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to meet physical requirements of the role such as standing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
