This role involves traveling to customer locations to diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs on vehicles or related equipment. The technician will conduct inspections, troubleshoot faults, replace parts, and ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include documenting service activities, maintaining tools and equipment, coordinating with the service team and supervisors, and providing clear, professional communication to customers about work performed and recommended follow-up. The role may also involve supporting inventory of spare parts and assisting with basic administrative records related to service visits.Qualifications Strong practical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and basic automotive diagnostics.Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions or service manuals.Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients on-site.Capability to work independently in the field, manage schedules, and adapt to different work environments.Basic record-keeping skills for documenting service tasks, parts used, and job completion details.Relevant technical diploma, certification, or training in automotive or mechanical fields is preferred.Prior experience in field service, automotive workshops, or related roles in the vehicle service industry is an advantage.Willingness to comply with safety standards and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
