Field Service TechnicianRate: $35 - $45/hLocation: New JerseyHours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PMOvertime: Available | Optional weekend workStart: Immediate - one stage in peron interview process.Are you a Field Service Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting experience looking for a role where you can be home every night?We’re working with a well-established industrial equipment business that is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role working directly with industrial customers, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment.The role would suit someone with a strong electrical/electromechanical troubleshooting background. Experience with HVAC, compressors, pumps or other industrial equipment would be a major advantage.You’ll be responsible for:Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial equipmentDiagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic control systemsWorking with 3-phase electrical systems, motors, starters, transformers and circuit protectionTroubleshooting control panels and control boardsWorking with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and AC/DC drivesReading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematicsTroubleshooting sensors, switches, transducers and other feedback devicesCarrying out preventative maintenance and general mechanical tasksSupporting equipment installations and associated field workCommunicating professionally with customers and providing effective technical supportWhat you need:Previous experience in field service, industrial maintenance or electromechanical serviceStrong electrical troubleshooting experienceGood understanding of motors, controls and electrical systemsAbility to read electrical and pneumatic diagramsExperience with VSDs, drives, control panels or PLC/relay logicMechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting abilityHVAC experience is highly desirable but not essentialComfortable working independently at customer sitesIf you’re an experienced technician who enjoys electrical fault-finding, hands-on engineering and being out in the field, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a stable operation while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
