Field service technician

Location: Utrecht regionHours: Approximately 45 hours per week, including travel timeEmployment: Full-timeThe OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join a specialist service team supporting sweeping vehicles and machinery across the Utrecht region.This is a hands-on field-based position for a technician who enjoys working independently, diagnosing technical problems and travelling to different customer locations.The ideal candidate will come from a truck, heavy vehicle, LCV, agricultural machinery or mobile machinery background, with strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical knowledge.Your ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer locations across the regionCarry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on sweeping vehiclesDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faultsTroubleshoot technical issues independently on-siteCarry out preventative and corrective maintenanceIdentify faults and determine the appropriate repair solutionWork on vehicle, hydraulic and electrical systemsAdvise customers on technical issues where requiredComplete service reports and relevant administrationWork closely with the workshop, planning team and other field techniciansThe current machinery in the region is predominantly diesel-powered, with a strong focus on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.What We're Looking ForWe are particularly interested in technicians with experience from:Trucks / heavy commercial vehiclesLCVsAutomotiveAgricultural machineryMobile machinerySpecialist vehicle environmentsYou should be confident working with:Mechanical systemsHydraulicsElectrical/electronic systemsVehicle systemsFault finding and diagnosticsMost importantly, you should be comfortable working independently and diagnosing technical issues in the field.What You Can ExpectApproximately 45-hour working week including travel timeOvertime paidRegional field serviceVariety of customer locations and technical challengesSpecialist sweeping vehicles and machinerySignificant independence in your day-to-day workTraining and development opportunitiesOpportunity to develop alongside new machine technologySupport from an experienced technical teamLanguage RequirementDutch is mandatory for this position.You will be working directly with customers, so strong Dutch communication skills are essential.Interested?If you are an experienced truck, heavy vehicle, agricultural or mobile machinery technician looking for a field-based role where you can work independently on specialist equipment, we'd be interested in speaking with you.Darwin Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
