Field Service Engineer – Industrial Press Equipment📍 Location: Canton, MI💼 Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire💲 Pay: $35–$45/hour (based on experience)About the RoleOur client is seeking a Field Service Engineer with strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of large-scale industrial press and forming equipment throughout North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional who enjoys travel, solving complex equipment issues, and working directly with customers.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and assemble heavy industrial press equipment at customer sitesDiagnose and repair complex hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, manifolds, and hydraulic circuitsPerform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and limited electrical troubleshootingSupport equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptancePerform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend repairsRead and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, electrical drawings, and bills of materialIdentify service, repair, and equipment upgrade opportunitiesComplete accurate service reports and documentationProvide emergency on-call support, including weekends and holidays as neededMaintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer serviceRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent2–5+ years of field service, machine building, or industrial maintenance experienceStrong hydraulic troubleshooting experience is requiredExperience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, hoses, manifolds, and hydraulic control systemsStrong mechanical troubleshooting skillsExperience working on heavy industrial machinery, presses, or forming equipmentAbility to work independently in customer environmentsExcellent communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license and valid passportPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or Journeyman certificationElectrical troubleshooting experienceExperience servicing OEM manufacturing equipmentGerman language skills are a plus
