Field Technician - Diesel Heavy Equipment

About The PositionWe are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. This technician will work in the field to diagnose, repair, and maintain CAT equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnosing and repairing Caterpillar equipment, including removing, repairing, assembling, and installingDiagnosing and troubleshooting engines, powertrains, electrical, and hydraulic systemsUsing CAT diagnostic equipment, CAT repair tooling, rigging, and blocking equipmentPlanning and organizing multiple projects with an emphasis on controlling job costsInvestigating, analyzing, and identifying problems to make recommendationsCommunicating effectively with a variety of people, using strong interpersonal and writing skills for utilizing internal software and other software programsQualifications2+ years of heavy equipment mechanic / technician experience (Technical education may substitute for up to 2 years of this experience)Valid driver's license (used for potential forklift driving and operation of equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, pressure washers, etc.)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products and OutlookAbility to stand up to eight hours per day, including twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping, and kneelingFlexibility to travel for extended periods to work with customersExperience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is idealEmployee BenefitsWe offer a competitive benefits package that includes an hourly wage from $45.25 - $49.25 per hour.
