Finance Account Executive

Defendex Partners | Abu Dhabi, UAE | Full-TimeDefendex Partners is looking for a Finance & Accounts Executive to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi.We are looking for someone who can manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations while also helping us build a stronger financial structure for future growth, banking facilities, funding, and investment readiness.This is not only an accounting role. We are looking for someone proactive, commercially minded, and capable of improving how the finance function operates.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain project wise accounting for aviation spare parts tenders and contracts, including advance payments, partial deliveries, milestone invoicing, and customer collections.Track landed costs, freight charges, supplier payments, foreign exchange differences, and profitability by tender, PO, and line item.Manage accounting and supporting documents for UAE mainland, free zone, international suppliers, and government or defence sector customers.Manage invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, and bank reconciliations.Follow up customer payments and outstanding receivables.Maintain accurate cash-flow visibility and payment schedules.Track project costs, revenue, margins, and profitability.Manage financial records and accounting systems.Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance.Coordinate with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisors when required.Prepare regular management financial reports and cash-flow forecasts.Support banking relationships and documentation for financial facilities.Explore suitable trade finance, working capital, PO financing, and invoice financing opportunities.Help prepare the company financially for future investors and funding partners.Support financial forecasts, financial models, and investor/bank documentation.Improve and automate finance processes and internal controls.Work closely with Procurement, Operations, and Logistics from project award through invoicing and collection.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Practical experience in accounting or finance operations.Good understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.Experience in aviation, defence, or government tenders is an advantage.Knowledge of international trade, free zone transactions, multi currency payments is preferredHigh confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive contracts.Strong knowledge of invoicing, collections, AP/AR, bank reconciliation, and cash-flow management.Strong Excel skills.Experience with Zoho Books or other ERP/accounting systems is an advantage.Exposure to banking facilities, trade finance, corporate finance, or funding is a strong advantage.Strong follow-up, analytical, and organizational skills.Able to work independently and take ownership.Based in the UAE or available to work full-time in Abu Dhabi.What We ValueWe are looking for someone who does more than process transactions.The right person should help us build the finance function, improve collections and cash-flow control, identify better financial solutions, and support Defendex in becoming increasingly bankable, fundable, and investment-ready.Employment: Full-Time
