The foundation focuses on holistic, localized, and indigenous education for children, primarily through its Unmukt Creativity Center in Shraddhapalli, where it offers classes in art, dance, computational thinking, self-defense, and more. Unmukt seeks to break conventional boundaries in education and personal development, encouraging children and adults to explore their creativity and potential. The organization also aims to build eco-friendly communities across India and beyond, fostering spaces where children co-create, individuals express their inner artist, and communities learn to care for the environment.Role Description The Finance Accounting Intern will support day-to-day financial operations, including assisting with bookkeeping, preparing and reviewing basic financial statements, and maintaining accurate records of transactions. The intern will help update and reconcile ledgers, support the preparation of budgets and expense reports, and assist in tracking project-related costs for the foundation’s programs. They will work with accounting software to input data, generate reports, and ensure compliance with internal processes. The role also involves collaborating with team members to clarify financial information, supporting documentation for audits or reviews, and contributing to process improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bhubaneswar.QualificationsCandidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance and be able to understand and assist with Financial Statements.Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret financial data and support budgeting and reporting tasks.Candidates should possess familiarity with Accounting Software - TALLY and basic bookkeeping practices.Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for working with internal teams and documenting financial information.Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.Attention to detail, integrity in handling financial data, and the ability to work independently under supervision are beneficial.Interest in the non-profit sector, education, or community development and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment will be an advantage.
