A growing tech company in Los Angeles is seeking a Finance Accounting Manager to take full ownership of their accounting function and serve as a key strategic partner to senior leadership. This position is onsite daily in West LA.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the Full Accounting Function: Take end-to-end ownership of all accounting operations. From day-to-day transactions to month-end close, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the board.Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules, maintaining the highest standard of integrity and reliability in all financial data.Audit Leadership: Lead and manage all audit engagements, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring the organization is always audit-ready.Policy & Systems Implementation: Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Drive the adoption of systems and tools that position the function for scale.Reconciliations & Account Oversight: Own reconciliations across all key accounts, maintaining rigorous documentation and ensuring balances are accurate and fully supported at all times.Analysis & Business Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to monitor spend, surface financial trends, and deliver insights that support strategic decision-making.Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the organization remains fully compliant with GAAP, government contracting regulations, and all applicable financial and regulatory standards.What We're Looking ForExperience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role. Background in manufacturing or government contracting ideal. Public accounting experience a strong plus. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.Credentials: Active CPA license or progress towards one required.Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills and comfort with financial modeling and reporting. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks strongly preferred.What Sets You Apart: A confident, decisive leader who can build and run an accounting function with minimal oversight.
