Come join us:Vernovis is looking for a Finance & Accounting professional with strong systems and technology experience to help lead finance-focused projects, process improvements, and SAP initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who understands how Finance and Accounting operate but has also become the person others turn to when it comes to systems, reporting, ERP enhancements, process improvement, testing, or automation. You do not need to come from a traditional IT Business Analyst background. We are interested in professionals who have worked within Finance or Accounting and have developed strong technical and project leadership skills along the way. You will partner directly with Finance and Accounting leaders to understand business challenges, evaluate current processes, and translate those needs into practical system and process solutions. You will work closely with IT, developers, project teams, and external vendors to lead initiatives from initial requirements through testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support.
What You'll Do
Partner directly with Finance and Accounting teams to understand business needs, identify pain points, and develop solutions that improve financial processes, reporting, and operations.Lead and support finance systems projects and enhancements, including requirements gathering, process design, project planning, testing, implementation, training, and post-go-live support.Support and improve SAP S/4HANA Finance processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Internal Orders.Serve as a key connection point between Finance, Accounting, IT, developers, and external vendors, translating financial and operational needs into clear system requirements.Evaluate existing Finance processes and identify opportunities for automation, standardization, improved controls, better reporting, and increased efficiency.Facilitate conversations with stakeholders to document current-state processes, define future-state requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions.Coordinate and execute system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) for enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and new functionality.Help Finance teams adopt new functionality through training, documentation, troubleshooting, and ongoing SAP support.Research system capabilities and potential solutions, perform root-cause analysis, and help determine the business value and impact of proposed changes.Develop business cases, project scopes, project plans, testing plans, and change requests for Finance-related initiatives.Partner with technical resources to ensure system enhancements meet Finance requirements and are delivered successfully.Analyze financial and operational data and develop ad-hoc reporting using SAP, SQL, SAC, or other reporting and analytics tools.Support larger ERP implementations, integrations, upgrades, and Finance transformation initiatives.What You'll Have:5+ years of experience within Finance, Accounting, Finance Systems, ERP, Business Analysis, or a related function.Strong understanding of Finance and Accounting processes, such as general ledger, financial close, AP, AR, fixed assets, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, or management reporting.Experience working with SAP S/4HANA, particularly within Finance-related functionality.Hands-on exposure to SAP FI/CO areas such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, or Internal Orders.Experience serving as a Finance systems SME, SAP power user, project lead, process owner, Finance Business Analyst, or liaison between Finance and IT.Demonstrated experience improving processes, implementing system enhancements, gathering business requirements, or participating in ERP implementations.Ability to understand a Finance problem, ask the right questions, evaluate potential solutions, and work with technical teams to bring that solution to life.Experience with testing, UAT, system implementations, integrations, or upgrades.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Finance, Accounting, IT, and leadership teams.Experience with SAC Analytics, SAC Planning, SQL, or other financial reporting and analytics tools is a plus.Experience leading projects or workstreams within a Finance transformation, ERP, or systems initiative is preferred.Exposure to Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery environments is helpful.The Vernovis Difference:Vernovis does not accept inquiries from Corp to Corp recruiting companies.
