About the roleVanity Cosmeceutical Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance & Accounts Assistant Manager to join our finance team in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and accuracy of our organisation. As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and supporting the broader finance function. This role is strategically important in ensuring our financial records are accurate, compliant, and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.What you'll be doingSupport the day-to-day management of accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end closing activities.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and management reporting to support business decision-making.Coordinate tax, audit, statutory, and regulatory requirements, liaising with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and relevant authorities.Oversee accounts payable, receivable, treasury, and cash flow activities to ensure effective working capital management.Monitor financial performance, identify variances, risks, and trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.Support the review and enhancement of finance processes, internal controls, and operational procedures.Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure timely submission of financial information and compliance requirements.Maintain financial reports, dashboards, and support finance system improvements and automation initiatives.Supervise, guide, and review the work of finance team members to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.Support ad hoc finance projects and other duties assigned by Management.What we're looking forProven ability to lead a small team while managing multiple priorities and meeting reporting deadlines.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.Minimum 5–8 years of accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, SST, and statutory compliance requirements.Experience managing month-end closing, audit, and regulatory compliance activities.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (AutoCount experience is an advantage).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and provide practical recommendations.Experience in process improvement, internal controls, and operational efficiency initiatives.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, retail, or trading industries is an advantage.
