Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant

Role Description This part-time Reporter role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Reporter will research and report on issues related to governance, civic participation, and political accountability, focusing on stories that support the movement’s goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying newsworthy topics, conducting interviews, gathering facts and data, and producing clear, accurate news and feature stories for digital and multimedia platforms. The role involves collaborating with the communications team to shape story angles, adapting content for different formats, and ensuring all reporting aligns with ethical standards and the organization’s mission. The Reporter will also monitor local and global developments relevant to political reform and contribute ideas for ongoing campaigns and coverage.QualificationsStrong reporting and news writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, timely, and engaging stories.Clear and effective communication and writing abilities suitable for diverse audiences and platforms.Experience with multimedia content creation (e.g., video, audio, social media formats) to enhance storytelling.Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup in Dubai, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.Demonstrated interest in politics, civic engagement, or public affairs; prior experience in journalism or media is an advantage.Familiarity with basic fact-checking and ethical reporting standards; strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.Relevant academic background in Journalism, Communications, Political Science, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
