The Finance Assistant Manager is a pivotal role within the Finance & Commercial team, providing direct support to the Head of Finance & Commercial in financial planning, strategic forecasting, business performance analysis, investor relations management, and strengthening the internal control framework. This position requires an individual with a solid audit background, deep understanding of commercial finance, and practical experience in the fashion and retail industry.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Financial Planning, Forecasting & Budgeting (50%)Support the Head of Finance & Commercial in developing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans, forecasts, and budgets for the entire organization.Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgets/forecasts, providing actionable insights and timely recommendations for corrective measures.Monitor cash flow and propose solutions to optimize working capital management.2. Commercial Finance & Business Performance (10%)Take ownership of in-depth analysis of business performance KPIs specific to the fashion and retail industry, including but not limited to: Sell-through rate, Gross margin by category/channel, Inventory turnover, Average Transaction Value (ATV), Conversion rateDevelop performance analytics reports segmented by sales channel (offline stores, e-commerce, wholesale), product category, and business campaign.Deliver data-driven analyses and insights to support the Commercial team in making informed decisions on pricing, promotions, inventory management, and distribution channel expansion.Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Marketing, and Commercial departments to ensure alignment between financial strategy and commercial objectives.3. Investor Relations & Due Diligence (30%)Take responsibility for preparing and maintaining investor relations materials, including: Investor deck, Financial factsheet, and periodic financial reports for investors.Participate directly in the due diligence process during fundraising rounds, M&A transactions, or other strategic deals.Coordinate with independent auditors, legal advisors, and relevant stakeholders during due diligence to ensure accurate, complete, and timely information delivery.Track and update the cap table, investment terms, and reporting obligations to existing investors.4. Internal Control Advisory (10%)Advise and support cross-functional departments in establishing, improving, and ensuring compliance with the internal control framework in accordance with COSO standards or equivalent.Assess operational risks related to financial processes, procurement, inventory management, and sales operations.Develop and update financial policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure transparency, accuracy, and operational efficiency.Conduct periodic reviews and propose process improvements across departments.REQUIREMENTSEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related fields.Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in corporate finance, audit, commercial finance.Prior experience at an audit firm (Big 4 or reputable audit firms) is a strong advantage.Hands-on experience participating in due diligence processes, fundraising, or M&A transactions is a plus.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of Commercial Finance with the ability to analyze and translate business metrics into strategic insights.Preference for candidates with experience in the fashion, retail, or FMCG industry.Solid knowledge of internal control systems, risk management, and compliance processes.Proven experience in building company-wide financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / GoogleProficiency in data analytics and presentation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent) is a plus.Fluent in English (reading, writing, and communication).Soft SkillsSharp analytical thinking with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and translate it into clear, actionable reports.Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial matters in an accessible manner to non-finance stakeholders.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced startup environment.Growth mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly to change.Detail-oriented, highly accurate, and a strong sense of responsibility towards data and figures.BENEFITSSalary: 28 - 32M gross13th salary, holiday bonusesFull benefits as per company policies and labor laws.Attractive employee discounts across the company’s brands.Professional training, career advancement opportunities, and exposure to international financial standards.Career growth in a fast-growing multinational fashion retail group.Working hours:Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (lunch break: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM).Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (on alternate weeks).
