We are driven by innovation and a commitment to improving our customers’ quality of life, and we foster a collaborative environment where people are empowered to grow.The RoleWe are looking for a hands-on Finance Associate with strong fundamentals in accounting, reconciliations, and month-end closing. You will own the books end to end, from daily entries through a clean, timely monthly close, and make sure every ledger, bank account, and sales channel ties out. You will also support payments, statutory compliance, MIS, and cash flow planning.The ideal candidate is meticulous, process-driven, and takes complete ownership of accuracy. Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is mandatory, along with working knowledge of GST, TDS, PT, and EPF.Key ResponsibilitiesA. Accounting & BookkeepingOwn day-to-day accounting in Zoho Books, including leading the migration of existing books into Zoho.Record sales across all channels (offline, distributors, Amazon, Flipkart, D2C) with correct revenue recognition, returns, discounts, and marketplace fees.Post and review purchase, expense, payroll, and journal entries, keeping the chart of accounts clean and consistent.Maintain accurate payables and receivables ledgers, along with invoices and delivery challans (own, vendors, distributors).Track inventory movements and ensure stock records in the books match physical and warehouse records.B. ReconciliationsPerform regular bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations, and resolve differences promptly.Reconcile marketplace settlements (Amazon, Flipkart) and payment gateway payouts for D2C against orders, fees, and returns.Reconcile vendor and distributor ledgers through periodic balance confirmations.Reconcile GST input credit (books vs GSTR-2B), output GST (books vs GSTR-1/3B), and TDS (books vs Form 26AS / TRACES).Investigate, document, and clear open and unreconciled items so that every balance sheet account is supported.C. Month-End Close & Audit ReadinessDrive the monthly close against a defined checklist and timeline.Book accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and cut-off adjustments.Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting workings for every material account.Produce monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and ageing reports.Coordinate with external consultants and auditors for month-end review, quarterly closes, and year-end audit, and keep documentation audit-ready at all times.D. Payments & Statutory ComplianceProcess vendor, partner, and payroll payments on time through a maker-checker approval system.Manage payroll processing and help design salary structures.Prepare and file GST, TDS, PT, and EPF returns accurately and on time, and track all statutory due dates.E. MIS, Cash Flow & Financial PlanningMaintain MIS dashboards and share key insights with leadership regularly.Monitor cash flow weekly and monthly, and prepare cash flow projections.Support budgeting, financial modelling, cost optimisation, and the implementation of internal financial controls.Identify gaps in finance processes and propose practical improvements.Required QualificationsExperience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close.Tools: Zoho Books is a must; strong Excel / Google Sheets skills.Knowledge: Solid grounding in Indian accounting standards, accrual accounting, and financial statement preparation; proven experience in bank, ledger, marketplace, and statutory reconciliations; working knowledge of GST, TDS, PT, and EPF compliance.Skills: High attention to detail and strong ownership of numbers; organised, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently across multiple responsibilities; able to explain variances and reconciling items clearly to leadership and auditors.Good to have: Experience in inventory-led businesses or companies selling across offline and online channels (marketplaces, D2C, distributors).
