With a strong focus on R&D, manufacturing and global expansion, we are building a globally competitive medical technology company from India.We are looking for an experienced Finance Executive who can take ownership of financial planning, business analysis, MIS, cash-flow management, costing and financial controls, while working closely with the leadership team on business decisions.This is a high-ownership role for someone who can understand the business beyond accounting and use financial data to drive better decisions.PositionFinance ExecutiveLocationGurugram, HaryanaQualificationMBA – Finance preferred.CA / CMA / M.Com / B.Com candidates with strong relevant experience may also be considered.Experience5–10 years of relevant experience in Finance, FP&A, financial analysis, business finance or commercial finance.Experience in a manufacturing, medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical or other product-based organisation will be preferred.Role OverviewThe Finance Executive will work closely with the leadership team to provide financial visibility across the organisation.The role will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, MIS, profitability analysis, cash-flow management, costing, working capital and business performance analysis.The ideal candidate should be able to move beyond preparing reports and actually interpret the numbers, identify problems and recommend actions to management.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Planning & AnalysisOwn the company's budgeting and forecasting process.Prepare annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.Track actual performance against budgets and provide detailed variance analysis.Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating expenses and profitability.Develop financial models for business planning and decision-making.Prepare business projections and scenario analysis.Identify financial risks, trends and opportunities and present them to leadership.2. Management MIS & Business IntelligenceDevelop and own the company's monthly management MIS.Create dashboards covering revenue, profitability, collections, expenses, inventory and cash flow.Analyse performance by:ProductCustomerDistributorGeographySales channelBusiness segmentProvide meaningful insights rather than simply presenting financial data.Establish financial KPIs and reporting mechanisms across functions.Present key findings and recommendations to the leadership team.3. Cash Flow & Working CapitalOwn cash-flow forecasting and monitoring.Prepare short-term and long-term cash-flow projections.Monitor receivables, payables and working capital.Track customer and distributor outstanding payments.Work with the sales and commercial teams to improve collections.Monitor payment commitments and cash requirements.Identify opportunities to optimise working capital.4. Product Costing & ProfitabilityDevelop and maintain accurate product costing models.Analyse raw material, manufacturing, packaging, logistics and other product costs.Calculate product-level contribution margins and profitability.Support management in pricing decisions.Analyse profitability across products, customers and markets.Identify cost optimisation opportunities.Evaluate the financial impact of new products and business initiatives.5. Commercial FinanceAnalyse sales margins, discounts, schemes and commercial terms.Review distributor/customer credit limits and payment terms.Monitor customer profitability.Work with the sales team to improve revenue quality and collections.Provide financial inputs for distributor appointments and commercial negotiations.Analyse the financial impact of entering new markets or geographies.6. Manufacturing & Inventory FinanceAnalyse inventory levels, inventory turns and working capital blocked in inventory.Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory.Analyse material consumption, wastage and production costs.Work closely with procurement and manufacturing teams to improve cost efficiency.Support periodic inventory reconciliation and stock verification.Track manufacturing cost trends and identify deviations.7. Accounting & Financial ControlsEnsure financial records and reporting are accurate and timely.Review accounts payable, receivables, bank reconciliations and general ledger.Establish and strengthen financial controls and processes.Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants and external advisors.Ensure timely statutory compliance including GST, TDS, income tax and other applicable requirements.Support preparation of financial statements and audits.8. Strategic & Leadership SupportWork directly with the leadership team on financial and strategic decisions.Evaluate ROI and payback on new investments, equipment and projects.Prepare financial analysis for new products, markets and business opportunities.Support fundraising, investor discussions and financial due diligence.Prepare financial projections and data required for investors and financial institutions.Assist leadership in developing long-term financial plans.Build finance processes and systems that can scale with the organisation.What Success Looks LikeWithin the role, the individual should be able to establish a finance function where management has clear visibility on:Where revenue is coming fromWhich products and customers are profitableWhere costs are increasingHow much cash is availableWhere working capital is blockedWhat collections are dueWhat the business can afford to investWhether the company is tracking towards its financial targetsWhat actions management should take based on the numbersCandidate ProfileWe are looking for an experienced finance professional who:Has strong business and commercial understanding.Can independently own the FP&A and MIS function.Is highly analytical and comfortable working with large datasets.Has strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.Has hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.Has strong knowledge of costing and profitability analysis.Is highly proficient in Advanced Excel.Has experience with ERP/accounting systems.Experience with Power BI or other BI tools will be an advantage.Can communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance teams and leadership.Is comfortable working in a fast-growing and evolving organisation.Has strong ownership, integrity and attention to detail.Preferred ExperienceCandidates with experience in manufacturing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, FMCG or other product-based businesses will be preferred, particularly those who have worked closely with sales, procurement, operations and manufacturing teams.Key CompetenciesFinancial Acumen | Business Understanding | Analytical Thinking | Financial Modelling | Commercial Understanding | Problem Solving | Ownership | Communication | Attention to Detail | Strategic ThinkingImportantThis is not a purely accounting or bookkeeping position.We are looking for someone who can act as a business finance partner to the leadership team — someone who understands the numbers, understands the business behind those numbers and can translate financial information into clear business decisions.
