Driven by creativity and a strong brand identity, Kai Group is committed to excellence and continues to grow its presence locally and in international markets.Role Description The Finance Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Colombo, supporting the finance team across the group’s hospitality and lifestyle businesses. The intern will assist with daily accounting activities, including recording transactions, updating ledgers, and helping prepare basic financial reports. Responsibilities include supporting the preparation and review of financial statements, assisting with reconciliations, and helping track costs, revenues, and budgets for different business units. The role involves compiling data for analysis, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather information needed for financial decision-making. The intern will also support process improvements, contribute to periodic reporting, and learn best practices in finance and accounting within a dynamic, brand-focused organization.QualificationsCandidates should possess foundational knowledge in Finance and Accounting.Candidates should possess skills in working with Financial Statements and basic reporting.Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with internal stakeholders.Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office productivity tools.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.Interest in the hospitality, lifestyle, and fashion sectors, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
