Finance Intern

Job PurposeThe Accounting Intern will support the Finance & Accounting team with day-to-day accounting activities, document processing, reconciliations and administrative tasks. The role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting processes, financial reporting and the use of ERP and accounting systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with processing and recording accounting documents (invoices, receipts, bank statements and other supporting documents).Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Perform basic data entry and maintain accounting records in the ERP/accounting system.Assist with bank, customer and supplier reconciliations.Check accounting documents for completeness and accuracy.Support the preparation of accounting reports and monthly closing activities.Assist in maintaining and organizing accounting documentation and electronic files.Support the accounting team in monitoring open items and resolving discrepancies.Assist with VAT and other tax-related documentation, under supervision.Provide support during internal and external audits.Perform other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant.Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.RequirementsUniversity student or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.Basic understanding of accounting principles.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Good analytical and numerical skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Good organizational and time-management skills.Willingness to learn and develop professionally.English language skills – intermediate level or above.Previous experience with an ERP/accounting system is an advantage, but not mandatory.Key CompetenciesAttention to detailAnalytical thinkingTeamwork and collaborationOrganization and prioritizationProactivity and willingness to learnIntegrity and confidentialityAbility to meet deadlinesWhat We OfferPractical experience in a professional Finance & Accounting environment.Exposure to accounting processes, ERP systems and financial reporting.Mentoring and guidance from experienced accounting professionals.Opportunity to develop practical accounting and Excel skills.Potential opportunity for a full-time position after the internship, depending on performance and business needs.
