The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to GST compliance, financial reporting, and FP&A support. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of working closely with business teams to support financial decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Accounting & ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger balances.Support statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors.GST & Direct Tax CompliancePrepare and review GST returns.Reconcile GST input tax credits and ensure compliance with GST regulations.Coordinate with tax consultants on assessments and notices.Support TDS compliance and other statutory filings.Trading Business AccountingManage accounting for domestic and import trading transactions.Review inventory valuation and stock reconciliations.Work closely with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.FP&A SupportAssist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards.Analyse revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, and working capital.Support variance analysis against budgets and prior periods.Provide financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.Treasury & Working CapitalMonitor receivables, payables, and cash flow.Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts.Support banking activities and working capital management.Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve finance processes and internal controls.Support ERP implementation or system enhancement initiatives.Prepare and maintain SOPs for finance processes.QualificationsChartered Accountant (CA) preferred. Candidates with CMA or MBA (Finance) and relevant experience may also be considered.5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.Prior experience in a trading or distribution company is essential.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of Accounting Standards and GST.Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.Good understanding of inventory accounting and trading operations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level).Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Preferred ExperienceExposure to multi-entity or multinational business environments.Experience preparing MIS reports for senior management.
