Our client is a manufacturing business operating within the UAE, producing regulated consumer goods predominantly for export markets and some domestic channels. The company forms part of a wider international group and maintains close working relationships with its production, procurement, and supply chain functions, as well as with external auditors and tax advisors. As a result of continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager.The Finance Manager will carry full responsibility for financial management, accounting, control, and statutory compliance across the site, covering the complete accounting cycle from transaction recording through to monthly closing and preparation of financial statements. Treasury, banking, and cash management fall within scope, including bank reconciliations, foreign exchange entries, and short-term cash flow forecasting. Accounts payable and receivable are also managed within the role, encompassing vendor and customer reconciliations, landed cost verification on imported materials, and credit exposure monitoring. Inventory, costing, and stock control form a further core element, with product costing, standard versus actual cost analysis, and valuation of raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory all required. Tax, excise, and regulatory compliance are a significant focus, spanning VAT, excise tax, and corporate tax filings, free zone qualifying income analysis, and the implementation of UAE e-invoicing requirements. Coordination of the external audit process, from planning through to signed financial statements, is also expected, along with maintenance of internal controls and preparation of management reporting on production cost, margin, and working capital.A minimum of five years' experience as a Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, or in a similar role is required, ideally gained within a fast-moving consumer goods or manufacturing environment, with on-site production facility experience preferred. A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CMA is required, and a postgraduate degree in Accounting or Finance would be an advantage. Demonstrated experience of cost accounting in a production setting is essential, alongside practical exposure to UAE VAT return preparation through EmaraTax, with familiarity in excise tax and corporate tax filing considered a strong plus. Prior experience within the UAE or wider GCC region is preferred, and experience in an excise-regulated or controlled goods manufacturing environment would be advantageous. Advanced Excel skills and experience with an ERP or accounting system are required, along with strong analytical ability and a high standard of personal integrity and discretion.
