As a part of ADQ, one of the region's largest holding companies, Silal is emerging as one of the sector’s leading and most ambitious players.Position OverviewManager – Finance is responsible for Managing Silal’s daily accounting operations and transactions and ensure that all journal entries and ledger balances are accurate and correctly recorded. This includes maintaining internal accounting controls and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.Position Responsibilities:Key Responsibilities as Manager – Finance will include the following:Manage the daily accounting records and ensure that all journal entries are completed on a timely basis to support period/year end closing (i.e., adjusting entries, accruals and reconciliation)Ensure that all Silal’s transactions comply with financial regulations, monitor accounting data on a regular basis and recommend improvements where necessaryManage the trial balance analysis process at the end of accounting periods, ensure that all accounting entries are correctly recorded and that all ledger balances are accurately extracted to support in drafting and generating financial statementsMaintain internal accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and by defining and enforcing accounting policies and procedures across Silal in order to sustain financial securityEnsure adequate and periodic maintenance of the chart of accountsIdentify and recommend improvements to the monthly closing process and recommend changes/improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiencyManage the maintenance and update of Silal’s General Ledger accountsManage the maintenance of Silal’s inventory related activities such as transfers and inventory count and ensure compliance with the inventory and warehouse policies and regulationsManage the closing process monthly, quarterly and annuallyPrepare monthly and Year End Financial reports, coordinate external audit reviewReview vendor invoices, supporting documents and journal entry in liaison with contracts and procurement and as per policies and proceduresManage payroll processing activities and end of service payments and maintain records while ensuring that calculations are properly reviewed in close collaboration with the HR departmentManage insurance policies, capitalization and insurance claims of fixed assets as per policies and procedures while ensuring that entries and ledgers are updated accordinglyPrepare and file VAT return.Position Requirements: In order to be successful in this role, you should haveBachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldMasters’ degree is preferableProfessional certification such as CPA/CFA or equivalent is preferableMinimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with 4 years in a managerial position.As Silal’s Talent Acquisition team, we encourage all interested candidates to review the key responsibilities and qualifications for each role and apply for any positions that match their skills and capabilities.
