Apply & track with Apply EdgeThis is a broad, hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can operate at both a strategic and operational level. You will help build the financial infrastructure required to support a growing international payments business while maintaining strong visibility and control over cash, profitability and financial performance. Experience within payments, fintech, treasury and digital assets will be particularly valuable given the complexity of our global fund flows.You will have these main objectives:Treasury, Liquidity & Digital AssetsMaintain oversight of fiat liquidity across multiple banking and payment partners, entities and currencies, including short- and medium-term cash forecasting.Oversee liquidity requirements across settlement, payouts and withdrawals, ensuring sufficient funding across the business.Manage and optimise digital asset treasury activities, including wallet balances, exchange liquidity and stablecoins across supported chains.Monitor FX exposure, currency holdings and liquidity risks and provide clear reporting to senior management.Develop effective approaches to cash forecasting, netting, rebalancing and FX management.Maintain strong relationships with banking, payment, liquidity and other financial partners supporting the company's fund flows.Ensure appropriate controls are maintained around wallets, exchanges, banking permissions and movement of funds.Financial Planning & Commercial FinanceLead and maintain budgets, forecasts and variance analysis, working closely with Sales, Account Management and other business functions.Analyse revenue, costs, margins and profitability and translate financial data into actionable commercial insights.Oversee profitability reporting and ensure the correct commercials, fees and pricing structures are applied to both customers and providers.Identify and investigate material financial or commercial discrepancies and work with relevant teams to resolve them.Support the development and review of pricing models, business cases and commercial proposals.Provide financial input into new products, markets, partnerships and strategic initiatives.Finance Operations, Systems & ControlsPartner with Technology and Product teams to improve and automate reconciliation, reporting, forecasting and financial controls.Investigate and resolve discrepancies between provider, banking and internal systems.Build scalable finance processes, dashboards and reporting capabilities as transaction volumes and market coverage increase.Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to improve the speed, accuracy and scalability of financial reporting and forecasting.Support audit, regulatory and compliance requirements relating to financial operations and treasury.Maintain awareness of changing regulatory and industry requirements affecting payments, treasury and digital assets.Finance Leadership & Management ReportingAct as a key deputy within the Finance function, supporting the leadership and day-to-day management of the department.Take ownership of key finance processes and provide support and guidance to members of the wider Finance team.Oversee monthly management reporting, ensuring senior management has clear visibility of financial performance, key movements, risks and opportunities.Oversee P&L reporting across customers, business segments, products and markets, identifying trends and areas requiring action.Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete and delivered on time.Strengthen financial controls, processes and governance as the company continues to scale.Work closely with senior leadership and provide financial analysis to support key business decisions.You will be a good fit if you:Have 8+ years of progressive experience across Finance, Accounting and/or Treasury, ideally within payments, fintech, banking or another complex financial services environment.Have experience operating at Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent level, with significant ownership of financial processes and reporting.Have the capability to act as a deputy to senior finance leadership and confidently take ownership when required.Have strong experience across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, P&L analysis and financial controls.Have practical treasury experience covering cash management, liquidity forecasting, multi currency operations, FX exposure and fund movements.Have direct exposure to digital assets, ideally including stablecoins, wallets, exchanges, custody models and on-chain/off-chain settlement.Understand the financial mechanics of a payments or fintech business, including settlements, provider fees, merchant/customer pricing, reconciliation and transaction-level profitability.Have experience managing complex relationships with banks, payment providers, liquidity providers or other financial partners.Are commercially minded and able to translate financial data into recommendations for senior management.Have experience improving and automating finance processes and reporting, including the use of modern data and AI tools.Have a high level of attention to detail while being able to step back and understand the wider commercial picture.Are comfortable working across Finance, Sales, Operations, Product and Technology teams.Have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and are comfortable coaching and supporting other members of the Finance team.Are confident communicating with executive-level management and presenting complex financial information clearly.Hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline. A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
