Operating through a regional network, the company oversees key operations, including vehicle distribution, floor-plan and inventory financing, spare parts supply, and nationwide service centers. Core Business & OperationsAutomotive Distribution & Assembly: Managing end-to-end sales and dealership networks for passenger and commercial vehicles.Financial Governance & Compliance: Reporting directly to regional executive leadership and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Cross-Border Collaboration: Bridging operations, procurement, and financial reporting across regional offices in Singapore, Myanmar, and China.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee our day-to-day financial operations and financial reporting for our automotive business. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a critical role in driving financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and strategic decision-making.The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise in IFRS standards, strong exposure to the automotive sector (dealership, assembly, manufacturing, or distribution), and fluent Mandarin language skills to communicate seamlessly with Executive Management, Chinese shareholders, and regional partners.Key Responsibilities1. Financial Reporting & ComplianceOversee the end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing process.Prepare comprehensive financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards.Lead annual external audit processes and coordinate with internal/external auditors to ensure timely, error-free compliance.Consolidate regional or multi-entity financial results for management reporting and group presentation.2. Financial Operations & Working Capital ManagementManage daily accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and Payroll oversight.Control and optimize cash flow, working capital, inventory accounting (including spare parts, vehicle inventory valuation, and provisions), and credit facilities.Establish and enforce robust internal control policies, SOPs, and financial governance tailored to automotive operational risks.Coordinate with supply chain, sales, and logistics teams to reconcile inventory movements and supplier billing.3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Business PartneringPartner with the CFO to drive annual budgeting, dynamic forecasting, and long-term financial planning.Perform variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget/Forecast) and provide actionable insights on profitability by model, business unit, or dealership branch.Monitor operational KPIs (unit margins, inventory turnover, warranty reserves, floor plan financing costs).4. CFO & Stakeholder SupportAct as the key financial advisor and right hand to the CFO, delivering ad-hoc operational analysis and reporting.Prepare clear executive presentations, board decks, and financial analysis in Mandarin and English.Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and legal advisors on financial, treasury, and compliance matters.Key RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred.Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Industry Focus: Direct experience in the automotive industry (OEM, dealership network, vehicle assembly, or automotive manufacturing/distribution) is required.Accounting Standards: In-depth knowledge and practical application of IFRS.Language Proficiency: Fluent/Native Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking) is mandatory to interface with the CFO and Chinese executive leadership. Fluent English is required.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel.Desired Competencies & Soft SkillsStrong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.High integrity and strong sense of accountability in managing operational finances.Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
